More emotional trauma. HR stress didn’t stop. I needed help at home for months. Post-ops in LA felt endless. Recovery alone felt impossible.I was managing survival, care, and finances—all solo. Even with my BossLady grit, I nearly broke. But I didn’t. Perseverance carried me where strength almost ran out. And my small group of very close friends were there arm-in-arm with me doing research with me and giving me the emotional support I so desperately needed.
