In the middle of everything—breast cancer, biopsies, surgeries—I also had to undergo septoplasty and nasal valve collapse repair. Why? Because I could barely breathe, especially at night. And without sleep, healing is impossible. Cancer doesn’t pause for “other issues,” but neither does the rest of your body. I had to take care of all of it. Recovery from the nasal surgery is tougher than expected, thanks to a sever medication reaction on my face. Still, I couldn’t wait. The May 5 breast reconstruction was looming—and the question became: Do I delay six more months for my surgeon to be available, or just push through? I chose to move forward. Because sometimes you don’t have the luxury of perfect timing—you just have the resolve to keep going. Was that the right call? I’m still finding out. But I’m not slowing down. Stay tuned.
